UNIDAD aims to promote a drug free environment in our communities through coalition  efforts that strengthen collaboration, engage individuals, families, business  community, schools, law enforcement, religious/fraternal organizations, media, health  care professionals, state and local governmental agencies, and other organizations and  civic and volunteer groups. 

To achieve its mission, UNIDAD attempts to:

Reduce substance abuse in its community through community awareness projects.

Help community partnerships strengthen their collaborative efforts through infrastructure development.

Enhance intergovernmental collaboration, cooperation, and coordination  with the private and public sector  through partnership steering committees.

Enable communities to conduct data-driven, research-based prevention planning using  the Strategic Planning Framework (SPF) employing the SPF five steps in  an on-going analysis and  process.

Provide communities with technical assistance, guidance, and  fundraising support.
